The bare bones of the plants we eat


Vilma Bharatan is a research associate at The Natural History Museum in London where she gives regular talks to the general public on food plants at The David Attenborough studios. It was while based at the museum to carry out her research for her PhD thesis on medicinal plants used in homeopathy that she found that many of the medicinal plants were also our commonly used food plants.

She is also a practicing homeopath and research co-ordinator for four GP practices for the NHS in England.
